Speaking to reporters, SLC CEO Ashley De Silva revealed the news of the overhaul of the complete coaching set up in Sri Lanka cricket.
However, reports suggest that Flower will only coach the limited-overs team and won’t be traveling to Pakistan for the Test tour in December. Mickey endured mixed fortunes as Pakistan’s coach, where he helped them become the top-ranked Test and T20I side and also beat India in the finals of the 2017 Champions Trophy in England.
Flower, meanwhile, recently left his role as the head coach of Bangladesh Premier League side Rangpur Rangers. The former Zimbabwe batsman worked together with Arthur earlier in the year as the batting coach of the Pakistan cricket team.
Despite the prospective arrival of the new coaching staff, the current head coach of Sri Lanka, Chandika Hathurusingha will travel with Arthur to Pakistan in order to facilitate a smooth transition.
