Is Xbox All Access Coming to More Countries?
In an article on Bloomberg, writer Dina Bass discusses how Microsoft’s plan to add new games to its subscription services continually is a good move during a pandemic.
She then discusses how subscription services help companies make money even if they have no hit releases on the horizon. Everyone is too busy going through their vast backlog to care about the lack of new blockbusters coming out.
However, there’s an interesting nugget of information buried within the article:
If you’re unsure as to what All Access is, it’s a plan that gives you an Xbox console for a monthly fee over a 24-month contract. It also comes with 24 months of Xbox Game Pass, so you have games to play on your new console the moment you start paying for it.
When Xbox All Access first came out, it was only available in the US. Now, countries including the UK and Australia, can also take part. And, if this report is to be believed, even more countries will be able to take advantage of this payment plan within the next few months.
Microsoft Keeps the Cash Flowing In
As Bass points out in her article, subscription plans are useful for companies during a pandemic, as they ensure the cash keeps flowing even when the shops shut down. As such, it only makes sense for Microsoft to spread its net further with Xbox All Access.
