The new apps are already available in the Microsoft Teams store, meaning you can start using them straight away.

New Power Apps for Microsoft Teams: Bulletins and Milestones

The new apps perform functions true to the names.

As announced on the Power Apps Blog, Bulletins is a Microsoft Teams app from which you post company news, information, and more to your entire organization. The app will take a central role in distributing communications throughout the workspace, ensuring that every user receives notifications and is included in the organization conversation.

Microsoft Teams Bulletins is mobile optimized too. Mobile users have the same access to the app and can respond, customize, and post the same as their desktop counterparts.

Milestones brings project tracking, status updates, and cross-functional team updates into a single hub.

Milestones, then, aims to become a project tracking portal to support the entire Microsoft Teams platform, rather than having to access a different app to keep track of what’s going on with your project.

The Milestones app will allow extensive customization to suit the needs of your organization and its projects. Plus, you can pin the Milestones in the main team channel for everyone to see.

Microsoft Teams Is Becoming the Go-To Tool

The introduction of new apps for project management and organization-wide bulletins is another step towards Microsoft Teams becoming the go-to tool for every function. Microsoft recently made Teams navigation much easier, and in recent months we’ve seen a raft of functionality updates arrive on the collaborative workspace platform.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect traditional workplaces and work-from-home practices grow stronger, expect Microsoft to continue pushing new Microsoft Teams features.
