Several New PDF Features Will Come to Microsoft Edge
According to a report by Windows Latest, Microsoft is planning to add multiple new features to Edge so that viewing and working with PDFs is more productive. Once this happens, users won’t need to leave Edge for most PDF-related tasks.
New Features for PDFs in Microsoft Edge
That site has noticed various new PDF features in both test builds and experimental flags of the Microsoft Edge browser. Some of those noticed features are:
Resume Reading PDFs
Microsoft Edge’s future version will allow you to pick up from where you left off in your PDF files.
This way you won’t have to go through the hassle of manually finding the page that you left the last time.
Improved Text Selection in PDFs
Text selection in PDFs will get become easier with Edge’s new version. You’ll have a better and more efficient way to make text selections across your PDF files in this browser.
Better Page Scroll
You’ll soon be able to scroll one or two pages in your PDF files with Edge. There will also be a thumbnail sidebar so that you can quickly jump to a page in your PDF document.
Better PDF Handling in Microsoft Edge
Once Edge’s new version comes out, which is due later this year, you’ll have more control and features to use with your PDF files. It’s likely you won’t need a desktop PDF reader once all these features become available in Edge.
