A small group of Xbox Game Pass subscribers have recently stated that they have had issues when trying to launch their Game Pass games offline. The issue apparently only affected some of the users’ games until they restarted their consoles, at which point it seemed to affect their entire Game Pass library. Luckily, the issue only seemed to affect a select few gamers.

The engineering lead at Xbox, Eden Marie, thanked users for reporting the issue and acknowledged that it was a problem that would be fixed soon. While an exact date has not been set for the rollout of the fix, it should be in the near future as it is currently in the testing phase.

Xbox Game Pass currently has over 25 million subscribers, which means that some users were bound to experience some small-scale issues with the subscription service. Xbox Game Pass’ ridiculous subscriber count shows that Phil Spencer’s statement regarding subscription-based gaming being the future may come to fruition sooner rather than later.

The subscription service seems to be going from strength to strength, as Microsoft’s recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard will see many Activision games joining Xbox Game Pass within the year. Xbox Game Pass already has an exceptionally strong roster of games as is, and adding game series like Call of Duty can only serve to make it even more popular.

The only drawback of Xbox Game Pass right now is the fact that it frequently loses games. This currently seems to be a teething issue of subscription-based gaming that will, hopefully, fade away once more of the industry follows Microsoft’s lead. As it stands currently though, Xbox Game Pass generally adds more games than it loses month to month, with the most popular titles leaving the service less frequently than others.

In other Xbox Game Pass news, a creative member of Xbox Game Studios recently showed off a concept of what the Xbox Game Pass UI could look like in the future. The concept displayed a list of games separated by their respective companies in a clean and sleek-looking manner that should get many Xbox fans excited about the future.
