Nothing specific or particular was known about the game until the Internet was privy to a series of leaks concerning the new Grand Theft Auto. Indeed, even the mere fact that a continuation to the flagship Rockstar title was being developed was hazy until then, but the developer announced soon afterward that the leaks were true. Official information is still scarce at this time, but fans are eager to find out whether Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launching anytime soon....

The video features Larry Hryb, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson, as he speaks with Xbox engineer Kevin Gammill about the dev kit, its power and functionality, the importance of it for game creators, and how it differs from the final Project Scorpio console. Gammill first explained that the need for this separate piece of hardware comes down to flexibility for the game developers. In his experience, he’s found that they like to come in at a “higher spec than what the retail kits would be,” so it’s important to provide “additional headroom for the developers” to start higher and tune lower as their shipping date approaches....

According to TechCrunch, Loop is a new app and concept that takes the Fluid framework, which provides developers with flexible components to mix and match in order to create real-time editing-based applications, to create a new experience for users to collaborate on documents. Despite being a new app, Microsoft has been paving the way for Loop for sometime with its Fluid Framework. The Fluid Framework is a software that was first demonstrated by Microsoft in the year 2019....

Microsoft happens to own the rights to many other franchises by Rare that have gone without any sequels for quite a long time, so seeing Perfect Dark returning gives fans a bit of hope that perhaps more Rare IPs will follow suit. Recently, Microsoft has been on a roll with resurrecting dead franchises with both Killer Instinct and Battletoads returning as console exclusives for the Xbox One, so perhaps it isn’t too far-fetched to hope for more franchises to make a comeback....

Microsoft is working very hard to make the Xbox platform more attractive to gamers, developers, and partners with the start of the Xbox Series X/S generation. Gaining ground on PlayStation is no simple take, but Xbox Game Pass, PC gaming support, and expanding first-party game output are big steps forward. Now, Xbox is reportedly considering an extreme shift in revenue share on Xbox store purchases, increasing partners’ share from 70% currently up to 88%....

When it was announced that Microsoft had bought Bethesda, it was shocking to say the least. While Microsoft is known for acquiring multiple third-party and indie studios to work exclusively for Xbox in the past, the publisher had seemingly never bought a studio as huge or as prominent as Bethesda. The custom Borderlands 3 Xbox One X console features a psychedelic color scheme with the face of one of the game’s Psychos on top. The front of the Xbox One X console features the Borderlands 3 logo, along a bright green paint splatter. You can use Cortana to set reminders, send emails, find files, get weather forecasts, tell you jokes, surf the Internet and so on. Comparable to Apple’s Siri and Android’s Google Now voice assistants, Microsoft’s Cortana uses Bing search engine and data stored on the user’s phone to make recommendations. The handily named CyberBattleSim is a tool developed and used by the Microsoft 365 Defender Research team, helping to build “highly abstract” simulations of complex computer systems and how an attacker may spread laterally throughout it. Microsoft hopes that the release of CyberBattleSim will encourage other security researchers to pick up the tool and develop further uses and roles for it and better understand how an attacker might act within a compromised network....

The latest of these is the Surface Laptop Go, a traditional clamshell device pitched as an affordable alternative to the flagship Surface Laptop 3. The company announced that June 15, 2022 will be Explorer’s final day. Before that date, Microsoft’s online services (such as Microsoft 365 and other apps) will officially stop supporting the browser on August 17, 2021. Microsoft said it instead plans to focus on its Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser that would still be able to support any websites or tools requiring Internet Explorer. “Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster, more secure, and more modern browsing experience than Internet Explorer, but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications,” Microsoft wrote in its blog post announcing the switch....

In separate notices post on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam storefronts, Warner Bros. announced the upcoming closures, including the Nemesis Forge, Vendetta missions, Leaderboards, and the WBPlay network. It’s not that they simply won’t connect when needed, either, Warner Bros. says that the features will no longer be available whatsoever. It’s unclear if an update will remove menu options, or how the developers will deal with the issue specifically....

It’s an attempt to make the existing game fit into a console’s framework, with numerous shortcuts and adaptations made so you can control a realistically depicted airplane straight from the pilot’s seat with your Xbox controller. State Senator Tom Barrett, a member of the Michigan Army National Guard, was tested as part of a screening policy recently implemented for service members.
