Windows 9 is said to be available for launch around the month of January. It is not yet sure whether the New Windows 9 would be an upgrade from Windows 7 and can be brought as an individual product or we need to get help from Windows 8 for an upgrade. As per Microsoft blogger Paul Thurrott, Windows 9 would be released in April 2015. Windows 9 could be cheaper and sleeker in appearance....

Benson said Sunday she expects counting votes for the upcoming presidential election won’t happen in a day. She expects at least a week, and this is with extra people brought in to help tabulate them. “The bottom line is, we’re not going to have the full results and counting of all of our ballots on election night,” Benson said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “But I’m also laser focused on accuracy and if it takes a few extra days to ensure we have a full and accurate counting of the results of every race, that’s what it’s going to take....
MGoBlog.com is reporting that Michigan QB Wilton Speight suffered a broken collarbone against Iowa and is out for the remainder of the regular season. Speight suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of last Saturday’s 14-13 loss at Iowa. MGoBlog reports through a source that Speight could return for the bowl game. Backup John O’Korn would be the presumed starter. Earlier on Monday, head coach Jim Harbaugh said he was unsure of Speight’s status for the Indiana game with no comment about the future....
A number of restaurant owners have opted for the latter, including Amy Heikkinen, co-owner of Café Rosetta in Calumet. The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) has now said that the illness is canine parvovirus—a fatal disease if left untreated. Most dogs affected were only 2 years old or younger. The department also found that all the affected dogs were unvaccinated. Canine parvovirus is spread through a dog’s feces, either directly or indirectly, yet it is entirely preventable with the right vaccination. Dogs usually have to be hospitalized for it to be treated, because, if untreated, it has a 90 percent death rate....

A lawsuit has been filed against Microsoft by Infernal Technologies and Terminal Reality, accusing the company of patent infringement. Terminal Reality is the studio behind games such as Nocturne, BloodRayne, and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. The company created the Infernal Engine, which, like many game engines, was then licensed out to other studios for development use. The patents in question are 6,362,822 and 7,061,488. Both patents deal with lighting and shadowing effects....
Over the past several days both Microsoft and Sony have provided additional information regarding the development of Xbox Series X and PS5 games. As expected, neither company is openly admitting that any single game’s development has been negatively impacted by COVID-19 precautions. In a statement (via Polygon), the director of Microsoft’s ID@Xbox program, Chris Charla, said that “with the Creators Program, anyone can integrate Xbox Live sign-in, presence, and social features into their UWP games,” which include Xbox live leaderboards and party chat. As a UWP game, this would make the game available the upcoming Project Scorpio console, “hundreds of millions of Windows 10 PCs,” and those using the Xbox app on mobile platforms....
The Blu-Ray drive would be similar to the HD-DVD drive that was available originally prior to the brand becoming extinct. It will plug into the USB Drive on the Xbox 360. Before you know it, you could be rocking a Blu-Ray version of Star Trek on your Xbox 360! However, Gizmondo also mentioned that Steve Ballmer could just be stating that if Microsoft were to make a Blu-Ray drive it would have to be external, but it certainly didn’t sound that way....
Even so, Stillwell says he isn’t worried about the “power narrative” simply because the Xbox Series X is better than Sony’s. Stillwell has worked for Microsoft since 2000 and has worked on the Xbox for about eight years. He has recently left Xbox to move to the augmented reality division of Microsoft, but is still a credible voice on the topic.
