According to Microsoft Game Studios VP Phil Spencer, the Xbox One will not support XBLA titles from Xbox 360, even going so far as to suggest users keep their 360 systems. Microsoft has previously stated that, citing a new framework that is incompatible with previous generation games, the new system will not be backwards-compatible in any respect - meaning everything down to the controllers and accessories (even headsets) will be excluded from Xbox One’s grand design:...

And that would be entirely fair. We could moan that there’s no Type C USB port or Thunderbolt and that it lacks innovation. But as the old saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. According to the website Down Detector, Outlook users started experiencing issues at around 2 a.m. ET, and at the time of publication they are yet to be fully resolved. Users based around the world have been flagging issues with the service to Microsoft via Twitter, and the company has acknowledged that there is a problem. “Thank you for flagging this with us, the engineering team is aware and are collecting additional data from the affected infrastructures to determine impact to our Exchange online protocols,” the official Microsoft Outlook Twitter account told users....

Microsoft’s Push for Passwordless Accounts in 2021 Microsoft made its bold claim over on its Security blog. The software giant shows off its track record for 2020, claiming that it was a big push for using biometrics over passwords. This includes the changes made to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center that allows businesses to migrate to biometrics over passwords. Now, with the stage set for fingerprint logins, Microsoft wants to make 2021 the year that passwordless logins become the norm....

According to data released by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, there was a 62 percent increase in the number of residents who died while not admitted into a hospital from March 15 to May 23 of this year when compared to 2019. The data also showed out-of-hospital cardiac arrests increased 43.3 percent and ambulance transports of residents who had heart attacks decreased 10 percent during the same time period when compared to last year....

Michigan halted indoor dining starting November 15, limiting restaurants to only outdoor dining and carry-out. The pause is expected to end December 8. Vicari filed a federal lawsuit against this order, noting that the struggling restaurant industry will hurt even more with these restrictions. “Our industry cannot survive another extended closure,” the letter from November 24 obtained by Detroit Free Press reads. “Thousands of restaurants and tens of thousands of our employees can not survive it either....

According to the Associated Press, rising political leaders like Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Oregon’s Kate Brown are among the bipartisan group of nine. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, a Republican, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, will be named co-chairs. Delaware Gov. John Carney, Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, Vermont Gov.
